The Sheffield Bruins were the first team in the North to establish an all-female baseball team, who competed in the 2021 British Baseball Federation (BBF) Women's League. in 2022, a Northern Division was established where the Bruins competed against teams from Telford, Leicester and Long Eaton. The team finished their regular season 12-0 and then took on the reigning champions, the Belles to retain an unbeaten record and win the Women's Baseball League Playoffs.
We are also pleased to announce that 4 of our players were selected for the GB Women's Team, who competed at the European Championships in Montpellier, France from 3rd to 6th August 2022.

Running separate from the Northern Baseball League, the Women's League fixtures are held on Saturdays, allowing women to participate in both the co-ed and/or women's leagues. The Bruins are always open to women with any level of experience and players are not required to play in the co-ed teams.

Between April and September we run training sessions on Saturday mornings at our home ground when there are no fixtures scheduled. Unfortunately, for winter training we are unable to offer women only training sessions, but everyone is more than welcome to join our co-ed training which takes place on Sundays at Rotherham Football Centre.
