The Sheffield Bruins were the first team in the North to establish an all-female baseball team, who competed in the 2021 British Baseball Federation (BBF) Women's League. The team have remained reigning champions for the past 3 years and hope to retain the title for the 2026 season.

Running separate from the Northern Baseball League, the Women's League fixtures are held on Saturdays, allowing women to participate in both the co-ed and/or women's leagues.  The Bruins are always open to women with any level of experience and players are not required to play in the co-ed teams.
